Answer:
Yes — Expandify homes can be built in flood-prone or bushfire-prone areas, but additional site preparation, engineering, and compliance documentation may be required.
For flood-prone land, we provide:
- Raised foundations (adjustable steel piers) to meet minimum floor height regulations
- Support with flood risk assessments and stormwater planning
- Moisture-resistant construction materials (sealed flooring, treated subframes)
For bushfire-prone land, Expandify offers:
- BAL-12.5 upgrades including ember guards, metal flyscreens, and fire-resistant cladding
- Site-specific Bushfire Attack Level assessments (required before final design)
- Compliance with local RFS or CFA guidelines
These upgrades are identified during your Preliminary Site Feasibility Check (Prelim) with your council conducted by Expandify and quoted before contract. We coordinate all necessary reports and can work with your certifier to satisfy regulatory requirements.
