Answer:
Expandify homes are engineered to be upgraded to BAL-12.5 compliance where required. At this time, BAL-29 and BAL-FZ are not standard inclusions and may require extensive modification or be unsuitable for certain models.
BAL compliance options:
- BAL-12.5 Upgrades include fire-resistant Rockwool insulation, ember guards, and metal cladding
- Tempered, double-glazed windows reduce ember penetration
- Optional non-combustible external features can be added depending on site requirements
Important:
- Sites with higher BAL ratings (BAL-29, BAL-FZ) may not be suitable for standard Expandify models
- Additional engineering, cost, and materials may apply
- All BAL compliance must be reviewed during the Prelim or DA process by your certifier
