Yes — roof insulation is fully integrated into every Expandify home.
Our roofing system uses a 75mm-thick rockwool-filled steel sandwich panel. This material provides exceptional thermal and acoustic performance while also meeting BAL 12.5 compliance standards for bushfire protection.
The roof panel serves multiple purposes:
- Acts as the structural roof component
- Provides full insulation coverage
- Delivers weatherproofing and thermal regulation
Expandify ceiling is a separate layer that is also made of 75mm rockwool sheeting giving you two layers of rockwool and a total of 150mm of insulation above.
Unlike traditional homes that require separate batts or bulk insulation, the Expandify system incorporates everything into a single, prefabricated insulated roof panel. No additional roof insulation is required.
