No — all Expandify homes require formal council approval before installation. They are not considered mobile homes or caravans and are not built on wheels or trailer chassis.

As permanent Class 1a buildings:

  • CDC or DA approval is always required
  • Installation must comply with NCC and state planning legislation
  • Occupancy Certificates are issued upon completion

Attempting to install an Expandify home without council approval is not supported and will breach local building regulations.
