Answer:
Yes — flood risk is assessed as part of Expandify’s Prelim, which checks for any flood overlays applied by local council or state mapping systems.
If flood risk is identified:
- A Flood Impact Report or contour analysis may be required
- The home may need to be installed on raised piers to achieve legal habitable floor height
- Additional engineering may be required to design elevated subfloor systems
- The project may need to proceed via Development Application (DA) rather than CDC
These reports are not included in standard package pricing. Expandify can coordinate the flood risk assessment and advise whether elevation or alternative design adjustments are required.
