The BASIX certificate is a NSW government requirement and is part of the mandatory documentation for all CDC (Complying Development Certificate) approvals in that state. Expandify completes this certification as part of the council approval process when handling the build.

Please note:

• BASIX is not required outside NSW.
• BASIX is not included for DIY Kits, as customers manage their own approval pathway.

If you're ordering a DIY Kit in NSW and need a BASIX certificate, it would need to be arranged separately by your own certifier or planning consultant.

Do you include energy efficiency reports?

Yes — every Expandify home includes an energy efficiency report as part of the compliance documentation, regardless of whether you're purchasing a Complete Package or a DIY Kit.

This report is essential for meeting National Construction Code (NCC) requirements and is included in both approval pathways:
