Yes — Expandify homes can be used for short-term rental purposes such as Airbnb, provided you obtain council approval.

All Expandify dwellings are certified as Class 1a buildings, making them suitable for long-term or short-term habitation. However, short-term rental use is subject to local council regulations and zoning restrictions, which vary by state and municipality.

Your Prelim and Site Assessment process will help identify any potential restrictions or overlays that may affect short-term usage. While Expandify does not submit short-term rental applications on your behalf, we provide all the required documentation (including BAL rating, energy efficiency reports, and engineering certifications) to support your application.

Customers should always check directly with their local council to confirm whether short-term letting is permitted at their property address before listing the home on platforms like Airbnb or Stayz.
