Yes — all Expandify homes are classified as Class 1a dwellings under the National Construction Code (NCC).

This classification means they are:

  • Approved for permanent habitation
  • Recognised as standalone, detached dwellings
  • Suitable for residential occupancy, including as a primary or secondary residence

The Class 1a certification is important for insurance, finance, approvals, and long-term compliance. All engineering, construction, and certification is done to meet the standards for a habitable Class 1a structure.
