Yes — Expandify homes can be installed in flood-prone areas, subject to council approval and engineering review.
If your block is located in a mapped flood zone, Expandify will:
Identify this during the Prelim and Site Assessment stages
Coordinate a flood overlay report (charged separately)
Liaise with council to confirm required finished floor levels
Often this involves increasing the height of the stumping system to elevate the home above the designated flood line. Engineering upgrades may be required, and additional cost will be quoted during your Site Assessment.
Homes in flood zones may also require additional approvals under a DA pathway (instead of CDC) depending on your local council rules.
