Yes — all Expandify homes require official approval before installation. Approval is mandatory across all Australian states and territories, and can occur through one of two pathways:
Complying Development Certificate (CDC): A fast-tracked private certifier approval available in most residential zones if your site meets planning requirements.
Development Application (DA): A slower council-managed process required when zoning issues, overlays, or setbacks prevent CDC approval.
Expandify’s Complete Package includes CDC approvals for compliant sites. If DA is required, our team will advise on the process, or refer you to a planning consultant.
