Expandify is not a licensed builder — instead, we work with licensed builders and certifiers across Australia to complete each project under the appropriate pathway.
Here’s how the roles break down:
DIY Kit: You or your chosen licensed installer manage installation. Expandify supplies the home and documentation only. Council approvals are your responsibility (unless arranged separately).
Complete Package: Expandify coordinates a licensed local builder to install your home and manage approvals. We include a Complying Development Certificate (CDC) under this package where applicable.
In all cases:
Our homes meet Class 1a certification standards
A licensed Australian builder signs off on the work
We provide structural warranties, but we are not the licence holder for QBCC or other state authorities
This setup allows us to offer lower prices and faster timelines by separating manufacture and construction — but all on-site work is still completed and certified by licensed professionals.
