Yes — customers may carry out their own site preparation if they choose not to use an Expandify-recommended contractor.

This includes:

• Clearing trees and vegetation (as per the Site Assessment requirements)
• Levelling the foundation area within allowable slope tolerances
• Organising excavation or cut-and-fill if required
• Installing footings for DIY builds (if a licensed contractor is used, per engineering guidelines)

The only component not handled by the customer directly is crane operation, which must be carried out by Expandify’s licensed crane crew during delivery. All other preparatory works may be self-managed provided they follow the engineering and installation specifications outlined in your Site Assessment pack.

We recommend customers submit photos and surveys prior to delivery for final approval by the Expandify Installation Manager to ensure everything is compliant and ready for delivery.
