Expandify homes are specifically designed for stumped installation using a steel subfloor and adjustable BMSA footing system.
Concrete slabs are not permitted for several critical reasons:
- Plumbing and electrical connections are completed underneath the structure. A slab would prevent this access.
- The chassis and expansion system rely on a raised base during deployment on site.
- All structural engineering and certifications are based on raised footing installation, not concrete slabs.
- The elevated floor height also helps achieve ventilation, thermal separation, and compliance with building code requirements.
Any attempt to place the home on a slab would cause compliance issues and void the structural warranty. The system is only approved for installation on adjustable steel stumps, as designed.
