Expandify homes are not accessible-compliant by default but can be upgraded to meet accessibility requirements upon request. These upgrades are tailored to the customer’s needs and can be included in both DIY and Complete Packages, subject to engineering and approval considerations.
Common accessibility-compliant modifications include:
- Wider hallways and doorways
- Step-free thresholds and ramps
- Accessible bathroom layout and fixtures
- Compliant turning spaces for wheelchairs
Compliance with Australian accessibility standards (such as AS 1428.1) may require assessment during the approval phase. If certification is needed, our team will ensure the required modifications are included in your Prelim documentation.
Accessibility upgrades must be requested before contract. Post-contract changes are subject to re-engineering fees and may impact approval timelines.
