Expandify homes are rated up to Wind Classification C2 and comply with NCC structural requirements for wind loads.

This allows installation in high wind zones and coastal regions, provided the wind classification is below Cyclonic Category C3 or D.

C2 rating includes:

Wind gusts up to 250 km/h

Structural steel frame and sandwich panel system designed to resist uplift and lateral forces

Site-specific engineering confirmation during Prelim and Site Assessment

The upgrade to Wind Classification C2 is available as a $5,000 engineering and manufacturing upgrade, and must be confirmed as required during the quoting and site design phase.

If you are in a tropical cyclone-prone region such as Northern Queensland or the Northern Territory, we recommend confirming your wind zone classification. Expandify does not currently certify homes for Category D or Cyclone Shelter applications.

Installations in high wind zones are always reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be confirmed during your site quoting phase.
