Yes — a soil classification is always required before installation.
This is included in the Site Assessment process. Your soil type (e.g. H1, H2, P, M) determines:
Whether standard BMSA footings can be used
If engineering upgrades are required (for non-H1 soils)
All soil results are reviewed by our engineer before final footing design. If upgrades are needed, they are quoted as part of your final build cost.
