Yes — trees must be cleared if they obstruct the building area or interfere with crane and delivery access.
Note – Some councils may require approval before you can clear trees / land.
While not all trees must be removed, the following areas must be cleared:
- The home’s installation footprint
- The crane lifting zone
- Any access paths required for truck or crane movement (e.g., driveway or turning points)
This does not mean full clearing of the block — only trees that directly impact access or placement need to be removed. In some cases, where large trees exist but are not in direct line of access, a larger crane can be used to lift over the obstruction. This is reviewed during the Site Assessment and quoted accordingly.
