The total timeline from contract signing to delivery on site is typically 14 to 20 weeks, depending on batch scheduling, factory queue position, and delivery logistics.
This order-to-delivery timeframe includes all major phases:
- Contract signing and batch allocation: Once your contract is signed, your project is allocated to the next available batch cycle. If a batch is already open, allocation is immediate. Otherwise, you may wait 2–4 weeks depending on demand.
- Factory manufacturing: This phase takes 8 to 9 weeks from the official start of the batch cycle. Your home is constructed in a controlled environment by licensed professionals and quality checked by Expandify’s on-site project team.
- International shipping: Once manufacturing is complete, shipping takes 6 to 7 weeks. This includes container loading, sea freight from China, Australian customs/quarantine, and delivery to the local distribution point.
- Site delivery and crane booking: Once at the Australian port, your home is typically delivered to site within 1 to 2 weeks, depending on crane availability, weather, and builder scheduling.
Delays due to port congestion, inclement weather, customs clearance, or unique access conditions are possible but typically resolved quickly. Most projects fall well within the 3.5 to 5 month timeframe.
