Expandify homes are produced in grouped manufacturing batches, with a minimum of six homes required to commence a new batch.
This batching model ensures efficiency in:
- Production and material ordering
- Quality assurance and process control
- Export shipping logistics
Once your contract is signed, you are placed in the next available batch, unless otherwise requested. When your batch reaches the six-home minimum, production is formally scheduled. If your batch has fewer than six homes ready, you may experience a short wait before manufacturing begins.
You will be kept updated on batch progress via your customer portal.
When does my production start?
Production begins once the following conditions are met:
- You’ve signed the supply contract and paid the initial deposit
- Your batch has reached the six-home minimum
- Your floorplan and colour selections are finalised
Once your batch is confirmed, your home enters the structured manufacturing timeline, which includes:
- Frame and roof structure assembly
- Wall and floor system construction
- Internal fit-out (kitchen, bathroom, laundry)
- Quality assurance and pre-export inspections
Your Buildertrend customer portal will provide milestone updates throughout production. Customers receive photo updates closer to final completion and can request further information during the process.
