Expandify homes are built with a 75mm rockwool sandwich panel roof system, which is both structural and fully insulated.
This panel includes:
- Top and bottom layers of pre-coated steel sheeting
- A dense rockwool insulation core
- Fully sealed, interlocking joins for weatherproofing and air-tightness
The roof features a fixed 10-degree pitch, making it ideal for solar panel installation and water runoff. It is engineered to meet cyclone and wind loading requirements under NCC standards.
Unlike conventional roofs, Expandify’s insulated sandwich panel system requires no rafters or batts. The roof panels are prefabricated in our controlled factory environment and installed on-site as part of the folding expansion process.
This ensures a fast, clean install with superior thermal and acoustic performance, lower ongoing energy costs, and long-term durability in all climate zones.
